KEETMANSHOOP, 16 OCT– A man and a woman appeared in the Karasburg Magistrate Court for the alleged murder of 32-year-old Patricia Madyumo, whose lifeless half-naked body was found in Aussenkher in the //Kharas Region on 06 October 2018.
The duo, Peter Nambahu (34) and Katiku Muronga (24), appeared before Magistrate Salome Bampton who postponed their case to 09 November this year for further police investigations and for the accused to apply for legal aid.
They are accused of murdering on the night of 05 October this year at block five residential area in Aussenkehr
The lifeless half-naked body of Madyumo was found lying at the grape farm in the early hours of 06 October.
They were denied bail as police investigations were at an early stage and for fear that they might interfere with State witnesses.
The accused are each charged with one count of murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances and violation of a dead body. They are remanded in custody at the police holding cells at Karasburg until their next court appearance.
Nambahu faces an additional charge of rape.
The State was represented by Yeukai Kangira.
