KEETMANSHOOP, 02 SEP – An 18-year-old boy died on the spot at Grünau after he was allegedly stabbed in the abdomen on Friday.
Namibian Police Force //Kharas Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Chrispin Mubebo told Nampa on Saturday that the deceased was identified as Amir Apriels.
“It is alleged that the suspect stabbed Apriels with a knife and he died on the spot. The suspect also stabbed a 32-year-old man on the right side of the neck. The man was transported to the Karasburg State Hospital for treatment, but is in a stable condition now,” Mubebo said.
He said the incident occurred at about 02h30 and it is alleged that an argument erupted between the three men over cigarettes.
The suspect was arrested and is set to appear in court on charges of murder and attempted murder.
Meanwhile, police at Aussenkehr in the //Kharas Region are searching for a man who allegedly raped a two-year-old girl on Friday.
The incident happened around 21h00 in the Block 5 residential area.
“It is alleged that the girl was left playing with another three-year-old girl in front of their house before the incident happened,” Mubebo said.
Police investigation continues in both matters.
