OKAKARARA, 03 AUG – Preparations for the 2018 Okakarara Trade Fair kicked off on Thursday evening with a fundraising gala dinner, which raised N.dollars 390 000, held at the town.
The Okakarara Town Council, the organisers of the event, said the money will be used for logistics and the organisation of the event.
The event is expected to take place between 03 and 09 September this year under the theme; Maximising marketing innovations of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
At the gala dinner, Okakarara Mayor, Olga Tjiurutue-Katukundu said the primary purpose of hosting the exhibition is to continue producing and moulding business entrepreneurs who are the key stakeholders in driving the economy of the town.
Otjozondupa Governor, Otto Ipinge on his part praised the Okakarara Trade Fair for growing from strength to strength each year.
Ipinge then pledged N.dollars 50 000 from his office towards the organisation of the event.
The exhibition aims to avail 250 stalls to both corporates and SMEs.
