REHOBOTH, 24 APR – A 15-year-old boy was arrested at Mariental on Tuesday for allegedly murdering his father.
Namibian Police Force crime investigations coordinator for the Hardap Region, Deputy Commissioner Eric Clay told Nampa the incident occurred around 16h30 on Monday in the Aimablaagte residential area.
“It is alleged that the son stabbed his biological father in the chest with a sharp object. It is unknown what led to the stabbing. The suspect, who is a known street kid, fled the crime scene.”
Clay said the 38-year-old victim was rushed to the Mariental State Hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.
His next of kin have been informed and investigations into the matter continue.
