ONDANGWA, FEB 25 – All People’s Party (APP) Secretary General Vincent Kanyetu was last Tuesday the victim of a burglery while sleeping in a hotel room in Ondangwa. On that night, two cellphones, and laptop were stolen while he was sleeping in. Kanyetu said he found it weird and unbelievable that his room was broken just 30 minutes after booking in a hotel called Dream Hotel in Ondangwa of the Oshana region.
He insinuated also, that he believed it might be a politically motivated event considering its an election year.
“I don’t know if it was witchcraft or ordinary criminals who broke in my room while I was sleeping but nobody could notice them, they could even kill me while I’m sleeping,” he said.
Kanyetu said that although he had since opened a police case CR/178/02/2019, at this time, no breakthrough from the police had been made. Both Police and hotel owners could not be reached prior to publishing of the article. – NDN Staffer
