Gochas murder case postponed to June

REHOBOTH, 24 MAY – A man accused of allegedly stabbing his cousin to death at Gochas on 24 March this year made his second appearance in the Aranos Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

Willem Kooper, 24, appeared in front of Assistant Magistrate Linus Malambo on a charge of murder.
It is alleged that the 28-year-old Andries Kooper died after allegedly being stabbed by Willem Kooper at their home in the Hei-eib residential area in March.

The accused was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when he got home and started arguing with the victim.
Andries Kooper was stabbed on the right side of his neck and died on the scene.

The matter was remanded to 11 June for the Legal Aid application of the accused to be finalised.
Investigations into the matter continue.
