OTJIWARONGO, 17 AUG – A 46-year-old woman on Wednesday allegedly committed suicide at Otjituuo by hanging herself from a tree at Farm Breedtskroon.
She has been identified as Krementine Lukas.
Spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Otjozondjupa Region, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha told Nampa on Friday her body was discovered by her husband around 21h00.
“When her husband returned to their house, she was not there and he decided to follow her footprints,” Mbeha said.
He then found her body hanging from a tree with a piece of cloth around her neck.
The husband then cut the cloth, hoping to resuscitate her, but she had already died.
The police are still establishing the motive behind her death as she did not leave a suicide note.
Police investigations continue.
