Geingob appoints NYS Board of Directors

WINDHOEK, 21 MAY  – President Hage Geingob recently appointed eight new Directors to the Board of the National Youth Service (NYS).
This was announced in a media statement availed to Nampa on Monday.
The appointment of the board by the President is in line with section 5, sub-section (2) of the NYS Act and the members will serve a three-year term effective from 01 May 2018 until 30 April 2021.
The board of directors comprises Mandela Kapere (NYS); Inaani Kahikuata (Ministry of Sport, Youth and National Service); Richwell Lukonga (Namibia Training Authority); Dagmar Honsbein (businessman); Escher Luanda (Government Institutions Pension Fund); Emmerentia Leonard (University of Namibia); Willem Shigwedha Shigwedha (Ministry of Defence) and Ali Dharani (businessman).
President Geingob expressed confidence and trust in the ability, commitment and fairness with which the directors will discharge their duties and responsibilities.
