REHOBOTH, 18 APR – A 47-year-old woman died in an accident on the Rehoboth-Kalkrand road on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Regina Alberta Johannes.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) crime investigation coordinator for Hardap, Deputy Commissioner Eric Clay told Nampa on Wednesday the accident was reported to the Rehoboth Police Station around 17h45.
“It is alleged that the driver of a Volkswagen Polo with Rehoboth registration lost control of the vehicle and it left the road and overturned several times. The driver, who was the only occupant, was thrown out of the car and died on the scene,” Clay said.
He added that the car came to a standstill against a tree.
Her next of kin have been notified and investigations continue.
