REHOBOTH, 05 APR – The Rehoboth Town Council building was broken into Monday night and two laptops and a security monitor stolen.
The Namibian Police Force’s Regional Crime Coordinator for Hardap, Deputy Commissioner Eric Clay on Wednesday told Nampa the break-in took place some time between Monday night and 07h00 on Tuesday.
The burglars gained access to the building by breaking the security door with an unknown object. They also broke open the doors of five offices.
Besides the laptops and security monitor, they also got away with two memory sticks and N.dollars 177 in cash.
“In one of the Roads Authority offices, they used a cutting torch to open a small safe, but it is not known what was removed. Only spoiled documents were left behind. The suspects also attempted to open Reho Electricity’s big safe with the torch but did not succeed,” Clay said.
No suspects have been arrested yet and investigations continue.
