OTJIWARONGO, 16 SEP – The body of a 34-year-old man was found hanging from a tree with a wire around his neck in an apparent suicide at Otjiwarongo on Saturday.
The deceased, identified by his relatives as Norman Jahuma Kambanda, allegedly committed suicide after arguing with his girlfriend.
Spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force in the Otjozondjupa Region, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha on Sunday told Nampa the argument took place at a family residence where Kambanda and his girlfriend resided.
“It is alleged that after the argument the deceased walked into the bushes where his lifeless body was later found hanging,” said Mbeha.
No suicide note was left behind and no foul play is suspected.
Police investigations in the matter continue. – NAMPA
