WINDHOEK, July 15 — Namibia on Thursday announced a 21-member training squad ahead of the Africa Netball World Cup Qualifiers to be held in Pretoria, South Africa in August.
Namibia carried out a nationwide search to enhance the team following its previous outing at the regional Confederation of Southern African Netball Associations (COSANA) Tri-Nation Tournament in Malawi in June.
During the tournament, Namibia finished last with a single victory over Zimbabwe, while Malawi, ranked third in Africa, recorded wins over Zimbabwe and Namibia on its way to claiming the COSANA tri-nation title.
The Africa qualifiers for the Cape Town 2023 Netball World Cup will take place from August 20 to 27. (Xinhua)
