Oshakati, 5 Nov – The Minister of Industrialization and Trade, Lucia Iipumbu, officially inaugurated the Oshakati Caribbean recreational facility on Friday.
The facility was renovated for N$3.5 million by the Oshakati Town Council in 2019 and finalised last year.
The recreational facility brings together children, young people and adults to have fun.
It is equipped with various sporting facilities such as mini soccer, boot camp, volleyball and netball and it also offers swimming classes for children.
Iipumbu urged the Oshakati Town Council to develop a separate recreational facility for children only, where they can be separated from adults.
The facility is run by Aisha Investment on behalf of the Oshakati Town Council on a lease agreement of five years.
