Swakopmund, Aug. 26 — A 53-year-old man shot himself at midnight on Thursday/Friday after allegedly having a prolonged argument with his wife at their home at Natanael Maxuilili Street, opposite KFC, in Swakopmund.
According to Erongo police, the man had a prolonged argument with his wife, after which the wife went to the kitchen, leaving him in the sitting room.
While in the kitchen, she allegedly heard a gunshot from the sitting room and ran back to investigate only to discover that her husband had shot himself on the right side of his forehead with a pistol and died there instantly.
She immediately called the police.
According to the police, no foul-play is suspected although police investigations ae continuing.
