Khomas NamPol ready for Debmarine Round of 32

REHOBOTH, 22 MAR – Southern Stream First Division (SSFD) outfit, Khomas Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Football Club say they plan to perform well in the Debmarine Namibia Cup Round of 32.
The team is drawn against Space Age, winners of the Zambezi Debmarine elimination matches, in the Round of 32 slated for Windhoek and Tsumeb respectively.
NamPol coach Gareth Fortune #Eichab on Wednesday said they will fight for a spot in the Round of 16.
He added that they will approach the match with caution and will not underestimate their opponents.
“Looking at our preparation, I can say it is going well so far. As the representatives of SSFD, we want to show what we are made of and will represent our division with pride. The cohesion and the will to compete is there amongst the players.”
He said although the team lacks match fitness and competitiveness due to the inactivity of the league, they will fight to qualify for the next round.
“Match fitness is an issue, but we have strengthened our team with a few signings that I think will do the job for us,” #Eichab said.

There will be Man of the Match awards from the Round of 16 up to the final that come with a N.dollars 1 000 cash prize.
This will increase to N.dollars 1 500 in the quarter-finals, N.dollars 2 000 in the semi-finals and N.dollars 5 000 in the final match. Teams competing in the Round of 32 will each receive N.dollars 20 000 to prepare for their matches.
Man of the Match winners can select a charity of their choice that will receive the equivalent amount.
The two teams that reach the final will each receive N. dollars 30 000 to prepare for the title-deciding match on 26 May.
