OSHAKATI, June 6 – Police in Omusati are investigating another incident of reckless and negligent driving after two Toyota pick-ups collided on Friday around 13h45 on the gravel road at Enongo village, Onesi constituency.
Deputy Commissioner Moses Simaho said a grey Toyota travelling from Onesi to Elondo West and a blue Toyota going in the opposite direction collided on a curve in the unproclaimed road injuring four passengers in the blue vehicle.
The injured female passengers are Emilia Shoombe (58) Onamambulunga, Komeya Sabinna (43) Okathakongala, Dhiladhila Lucas (5months old) Okathakongala and Namulo Epifania(42) Onamambulunga.
They sustained moderate injuries and were treated at the Onesi Health Centre before being transferred to Tsandi district hospital.
Both drivers, who were not injured, failed to register motor vehicles after liability arose on the expiry of 31 days of repossession of that motor vehicle.
