President Hage G. Geingob conveys message of condolences to the family of education veteran, the late Martin Lazarus Shipanga



Windhoek June 29-The President of the Republic of Namibia, His Excellency Dr. Hage G. Geingob joins the Namibian nation in expressing sincere condolences
to the Shipanga family following the loss of a husband, a father, an
uncle, family man and renowned teacher, Mr. Martin Lazarus Shipanga.
Mr. Shipanga taught President Geingob at Augustineum Secondary
School at Okahandja in 1958. Mr. Shipanga, affectionately known as
“Meester” passed away yesterday, 28 June 2020.


Remembering Mr. Shipanga fondly as an inspiring teacher, President Geingob says:
“Mr. Shipanga did not only play a big role in my education, but more impressively, he helped shape the education of generations of Namibians. His kind, but firm approach to education left an inedible legacy on many who were his students. May his Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.”


During this difficult period of bereavement, President Geingob wishes strengths to the wife, Mrs. Eveline Ndapewa Shipanga, the children and family of the late Mr. Shipanga.
