OTJIWARONGO, 09 MAY – The Otjozondjupa Regional Governor, Otto Ipinge will deliver his third State of the Region Address (SORA) here next week Thursday.
Ipinge told Nampa in an interview on Tuesday that the residents in the region have a total right to know what their government has achieved in the past 12 months as well as plans and projects it has in the pipelines for its constituencies, towns and settlements.
He said government’s capital projects on housing, land servicing, construction and tarring of roads including the upgrading of railway line projects are all contained in this year’s SORA.
“Therefore, I urge all residents to come in numbers and attend the SORA next week,” he said.
The Governor also promised to share with the people the major challenges facing different government offices, ministries and agencies in the region.
Ipinge delivered his second SORA in July 2017 where hundreds of attendees applauded him for an informative and well-articulated summary of Government projects.
Regional Governors in all 14 regions, annually deliver their SORAs shortly after the Head of State delivers the State of the Nation Address (SONA).
President Hage Geingob delivered the SONA on 11 April 2018, in the capital.
