Windhoek, Aug. 26 — The Ministry of Health and Social Services has scrapped the requirement for foreign travellers to produce vaccination certificates and negative PCR test results when they enter Namibia.
This was said by the executive director Ben Nangombe in a public notice (Ref No 15/2022) in which he clarifies the new entry requirements into Namibia.
He clarified that during the 45th Covid-19 public briefing on 14 July 2022, President Hage Geingob had announced that due to the current epidemiological situation, it was decided to remove the Covid-19 restrictions gazetted under the Public Health Act.
“The current epidemiological situation as of today no longer supports the retention of entry requirements into Namibia of a vaccination certificate and a negative PCR test result.
“Consequently the entry requirements by foreign travellers of vaccination certificate and a negative PCR test result have been scrapped,” said Nangombe.
