REHOBOTH, 24 OCT – Okahandja will witness the Top 8 pre-season friendly matches this coming weekend, when six Namibia Premier League (NPL) teams, one first division team and the national Under-23 team will vie for supremacy.
The matches will take place at the Nau-Aib Stadium with rookies Okahandja United, Tura Magic, Life Fighters, University of Namibia (UNAM), Mighty Gunners, Spoilers, Citizens and the U-23 national team set to compete.
Spoilers’ Technical Director, Prince Lee Hangula told Nampa on Tuesday the matches are organised as part of the pre-season preparations for the teams ahead of the NPL kick-off slated for November.
The first match will start at 10h00 with Okahandja United taking on UNAM, followed by Tura Magic locking horns with Citizens at 14h00.
Life Fighters will take on Southern Stream First Division team Spoilers at 16h00, while the last match of the day will be between Mighty Gunners and the U-23 national team.
Sunday will see the winner of match one taking on the winner of match two at 10h00, followed by a duel between match winners three and four.
The losers of the semi-finals will play before the final match that will be followed by the handing over of a trophy.
