LÜDERITZ, 29 APR – The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the //Kharas Region has reported the death of a 28-year-old man, who was stabbed with a sharp object at a bar in Bethanie on Saturday night.
The victim, identified as Roedie Rooi, was allegedly talking to the girlfriend of the suspect, who became jealous and stabbed Rooi on the right upper body, under the armpit, causing his death.
NamPol //Kharas crime investigations coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Chrispin Mubebo told Nampa on Sunday that the incident happened around 19h50 at Paul’s shebeen at the village.
The suspect then fled the scene, but was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The deceased’s next of kin are informed of his death and investigations into the incident continue.
