Oshakati, Aug. 11 — Police in Ongwediva are investigating a case of robbery at Emirates Bar at the new reception, Ongwediva at around 00h20 on Thursday.
According to Inspector Thomas Aiyambo, four unidentified men who were armed with a pistol, a panga and a crowbar allegedly attacked customers and the security guard at the bar and ordered them to lie on the floor.
They allegedly robbed the security guard of his shotgun and assaulted him and one patron who tried to protect the security.
The security guard and the patron sustained injuries to the head. The robbers then broke four jackpot machines and stole an unknown amount of money before fleeing with the guard’s shotgun in a white Toyota Corolla.
No arrests have been made yet and nothing has been recovered. Police investigations are continuing.
