Oshakati, Aug. 11 – Police in Oshakati arrested a 37-year-old man from the Ehenye location after he allegedly raped a 24-year-old woman at Ekuku in Oshakati at around 21h00 on Sunday.
The case was reported on Tuesday this week.
According to Inspector Thomas Aiyambo, the suspect allegedly met the victim at the Game shopping centre during the day and they exchanged contact numbers. At around 21h00 the suspect called the woman to meet up at Ekuku-Oshakati.
When the woman came the suspect ordered her to get into the back seat of his vehicle where he started kissing her and then raped her.
The man is expected to appear at the Oshakati magistrate’s court on Friday.
