WINDHOEK, May 7 – Police in the Khomas Region have launched a manhunt for four male suspects who allegedly staged an armed robbery at the Puma depot in the Northern Industrial Area of Windhoek, on Friday morning, 6 May 2022.
This was confirmed by police spokesperson Chief Inspector Elifas Kuwinga who said four men, armed with pistols, attacked four Namibia Protection Service guards at the depot fuelling point at gunpoint and robbed them of N$1 333 956.90 in cash.
The suspects also allegedly shot one of the victims in the arm as they demanded his firearm.
“In addition, the suspects managed to steal three service firearms belonging to Namibia Protection Services (NPS) company from the security guards. The value of the firearms is still unknown,” said Kuwinga in a statement.

None of the stolen items has been recovered and suspects remain at large although police investigations continue into a case of robbery with aggravating circumstances and attempted murder.
