WINDHOEK, FEB 8 – MultiChoice Namibia on Tuesday announced the launch of local channel Network TV to premier on DStv and GOtv on 8 February 2022.
“Film and television have a great impact on the psyche, and as a video entertainment company which operates across 50 regions in Africa, we use the power of entertainment to enrich lives, and we achieve this goal through showcasing compelling local stories, which bring people together around a shared passion and culture,” DStv said in a statement.
Aimed at empowering, educating, informing and entertaining, Network TV will offer the hottest shows, current affairs debates, developments in Namibian sports, youth entertainment as well as travel shows exclusively for Namibians – by Namibians.
“As Africa’s leading entertainment platform and most loved storyteller, we continuously seek opportunities to provide local and inspired content to Namibian audiences,” said MultiChoice Namibia Managing Director Roger Gertze. “Our goal with this channel is to provide a hyperlocal content offering to Namibians who have been yearning for an opportunity like this. Network TV will certainly enhance the customer’s viewing experience even more, and at great value.”

Network TV will be available to all DStv Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Family and Access customers including GOtv Lite, Value, Plus, Max and Supa customers. The channel will offer fresh and relevant content to Namibians and is also available via streaming on DStv.
Namibia’s newest television channel will bring viewers the latest in current affairs, sport and entertainment news from across the country and the region. Empowering and entertaining audiences across Namibia, NTV enhances the free flow of information to a wide demographic and interest groups.
