OSHIKANGO, Mar. 27 – On the 24 March 2018, the MTC Care Employees initiative donated a wheel chair to a seven year old girl from Oshikango living with a disability. The girl was unable to walk unassisted.
“When we saw the plight of the young, smart and courageous girl, as employees, we have decided to help out, hence collected contributions towards the purchase of a wheelchair of N$5000. Sharing is caring, and that is what we stand for. We believe that a little contribution such as this can go a long way, hence we are proud to have assisted,” said Joseph Mundjindi, Chairperson of the MTC Employees Care.
Fatima’s father, Gabriel Tchikoti commended the MTC staff for this initiative, while expressing his appreciation, stating that the her daughter will now be able to be mobile.
MTC Employees Care is an initiative by the company’s staff who contribute both monetary and in-kind donations which are then directed to identified particular causes.
