REHOBOTH, 20 JUL – The ||Kharas Second Division play-off matches between Dates Eleven and Rush Ups and Real Fighters versus Youngsters have been called off indefinitely after Atlanta Bucks from the Coastal Stream lodged a complaint.
The matches, scheduled for the J Stephanus Stadium in Keetmanshoop on Saturday, pitted Rush Ups as the Coastal Stream winners against Inland Stream winners, Dates Eleven to determine the team to represent the region at the Southern Stream First Division promotion play-offs, while the Youngsters and Real Fighters match was for third and fourth place.
In a letter seen by Nampa on Wednesday and addressed to the affiliated clubs, the league’s chairperson, Isak Fredericks said the play-off was called off to address the complaint of Atlanta Bucks in which they said Aus United should have been suspended for failing to play three consecutive matches.
However, Fredericks confirmed receiving a letter from Aus United which outlined that they were unable to play their match against Youngsters due to transport issues. This led to them forfeiting the match.
Atlanta Bucks are calling for the expulsion of Aus United as that would make them the winners of league on goal difference over Rush Ups.
“The letter I received from Aus United exempts them from being suspended as they had a valid reason for not pitching up for their match against Youngsters, with the latter awarded the three points as per the NFA rules. As far as I am concerned, the league is done and dusted with Rush Ups crowned as winners,” Fredericks said.
He added that he received another complaint from Brazilie FC against runner up Real Fighters, whom they allege of using a player from Civics from the Namibia Premier League.
Brazilie FC was in the running for a second-place finish and should Real Fighters lose points for fielding an ineligible player, it would mean they will finish as runners-up and would face Youngsters in the third and fourth place play-off.
An official complaint letter seen by Nampa and addressed to the regional executive by Brazilie said that Real Fighters used Ignatius Horaseb in matches against Thistles and Young Beauties (YB) on 09 and 10 June. However, his name is alleged to have been scratched out from the match day team return against YB, which was confirmed by Suzel Cloete, team manager of YB who also lodged a complaint on 11 June.
Brazilie chairperson, Emrico Blaauw on Thursday said they want the executive to act on the issue of the ineligible player and deduct points from Real Fighters, which then will give them second-spot.
Upon enquiry on Thursday, Donelly Nell from Civics management confirmed the player being on their books.
“He played for us during the recently-concluded season and we did not give him permission to play for another team,” Nell said.

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this site.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appeal.
I must say you’ve done a fantastic job with this.
Additionally, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Safari.
Outstanding Blog!
