AMMAN, Aug. 3– Jordan on Monday dispatched a humanitarian aid convoy to Syria carrying prefabricated mobile housing units as part of its continued efforts to support Syrians affected by the humanitarian situation.
The 16-truck convoy, organized by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) in coordination with the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army, transported 32 prefabricated mobile housing units, JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli said in a statement.
He added that Jordan, in cooperation with regional and international partners, has regularly sent aid convoys to Syria carrying food, relief supplies, medicines, medical equipment, flour, food parcels, ambulances and prefabricated housing units.
Since December 2024, Jordan has dispatched 23 humanitarian convoys comprising 1,072 trucks to Syria to help address humanitarian needs, according to Shibli. ( Namibia Daily News )
