Swakopmund, August 13 — The Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) party has won the Swakopmund constituency by-election.
IPC candidate, Kativa Louisa Ndaninga garnered 3 625 votes out of the 9 918 votes cast.
Other Candidates: Solomon Nehemia Ndara of the Swapo Party came second with 3 122 votes, followed by Musheko Tangeni Hilaria of the Landless People’s Movement with 1 362 votes.
Pascheka Lelani of PDM obtained 672, Dantu Zerelda of UDF got 465 votes, UPM 309, NEFF 307 and Narib Williward an independent candidate came last with 56 votes.
This was officially confirmed by the Electoral Commission of Namibia when announcing the final results of the by-election at Swakopmund at midnight.
