Oshakati, Oct. 21 – Becoming a member of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Global Network of Learning City can greatly benefit the Helao Nafidi town in many ways.
These include networking with local and international towns and cities to find solutions to challenges and showcasing the towns’ best practices.
This initiative will bring services closer to people through life-long learning.
“There is no better time than now to pool resources and efforts to harness the spirit of Harambee to achieve the sustainable development goals,” said Deputy Minister of Education, Arts and Culture Faustina N Caley at the launching ceremony of UNESCO Global Network of Learning City at Helao Nafidi that took place on Wednesday 19 October 2022 at Helao Nafidi town council offices.
