Michael Amushelelo, the economic commissar of the Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters (NEFF), had his case postponed for plea and trial. The Katutura Magistrates Court, as confirmed by Amushelelo’s lawyer, Kadhila Amoomo, rescheduled the proceedings to 25th October.
Amushelelo made his appearance in court on Friday, where the new trial date was announced. The charges against him include inciting public violence, malicious damage to property, and violating a court order. Since his arrest on Independence Day, he has been in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
