Oshakati, Aug. 31 — Police in Oshana are investigating a case of abortion which happened on Tuesday 30.08.2022 at around 17h30 behind the Oshakati Town Council engineering office.
According to Inspector Thomas Aiyambo, an unknown woman gave birth to a baby girl, wrapped her in a skirt and put her in a black bag which she dumped behind the offices.
A worker at Oshakati town council engineering stumbled upon the bag as he was passing by and found the dead baby girl inside.
The body was transported to the Oshakati police mortuary.
Police investigations are ongoing.
