SWAKOPMUND, 18 July 2022 – 19-year-old Elite Athlete at the Dome Namibia and winner of Disability Sportsman Namibia 2021 award, Bradley Murere will fly the Namibian flag at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games end of this month.
Bradley currently ranks in the top 10 worldwide for both 100m and long-jump in the para-athlete T46 Category. He also recently pulled off an outstanding feat in South Africa achieving the best time of 11:07 in the 100m and 6,26m in the long jump, placing him in the top 10 in both sports disciplines worldwide.
“Our athlete development training programme offered by MTC Dome High-Performance Centre has paid off, said the sports director at the MTC Dome, Ulla Finkeldey, who has coached Bradley for the past five years.
The athlete has been empowered with special training equipment to contribute to improving his performance.
The Garmin product representative in Namibia, Radio Electronic Walvis Bay donated a Forerunner 255 model smartwatch to Bradley, matching the running features that suit his portfolio – to help him keep track of his daily running features and prepare the athlete before the Commonwealth Games 2022.
