Oshakati, Aug. 9 — Police in the Omusati region arrested a 23-year-old for possession of cannabis on Monday 08 August 2022 at around 10:30 at Oshihahu village, Onesi Constituency, Omusati region.
The man was identified by police as an Angolan Antonio Paciencia Nito Nakhumbe, a resident of Chama village, Cunene Province, Angola for contravention of drugs.
Deputy Commissioner Moses Simaho said the suspect deals in illicit drugs and stays in Namibia without legal documents. He was found in possession of 118 grammes of cannabis with a street value of N$1 180.
Nakhumbe was expected to appear in the Outapi magistrate’s court on 09.08.2022.
