NESFD’s second leg slated for the weekend

REHOBOTH, 12 JUN  – The North-East Stream First Division (NESFD) will commence with its second leg of league matches after a two-week break with rounds 7 and 8 scheduled to take place this weekend.

The matches will take place in Nkurenkuru, Rundu and Ohangwena on Saturday and Sunday.

Chairperson of NESFD, Mpasi Haingura on Monday confirmed the fixtures to Nampa.

“We are still well on track with the league and the finishing timeline is well within reach,” he said.

On Saturday in Pool A in the Round 7 matches, sixth-placed Bingo United will confront fifth-placed Kangweru Black Tops in a battle to survive the dreaded relegation axe at the Rundu Sport Stadium at 14h00.

This will be followed by third-placed United Stars locking horns with log leaders Ntunguru Football Club (FC) at 16h00.

Pool B will see second-placed KK United go head-to-head with fourth-placed Cuca Tops at the Nkurenkuru Stadium at 14h00, while third-placed Oshikango Chiefs will engage log leaders Julinho Sporting at the Ohangwena Stadium at 15h00.

Pool A on Sunday in the Round 8 matches will see United Stars battling Kangweru Black Tops at the Rundu Sport Stadium at 09h00, followed immediately by the match between Bingo United and Ntunguru FC at 11h00.

In Pool B at the Ohangwena Stadium, Oshikango Chiefs will come up against Cuca Tops at 09h00, while at Nkurenkuru Stadium, KK United and Julinho Sporting will meet each other also at 09h00.
