SWAKOPMUND, June 6 – Three young boys playing at a dumpsite near Karibib found the lifeless body of a baby girl on Saturday, 4 June.
On Sunday, a police report issued by Inspector Ileni Shapumba said the boys found a folded white towel with blood on it at the site between Usab and Harambee suburbs at about 08h00.
When they opened it, they saw the lifeless body of a full-grown female baby.
The boys rushed home to inform a parent who then reported the matter to the police.
The police attended the scene and the body was taken to Karibib State Clinic for death certification and storage. Cases of concealment of birth or alternatively abortion with an unknown date and time were filed.
