OTJIWARONGO, 21 OCT – A 38-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by shooting herself at Farm Kareepan in the Otavi District in the early hours of Sunday.
Spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Otjozondjupa Region, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha told Nampa on Sunday the deceased has been identified as Yulanda Stoman.
Her next of kin have been informed of her death.
According to Mbeha the incident occurred around 03h40.
“The motive behind her suicide is still unknown to us as no suicide note was found,” she said.
An inquest docket (05/2018) has been opened at the Otavi Police Station.
Police investigations continue.
