CRIME REPORT: Eenhana-Attempted murder. On Saturday, 19 February 2022 around 00h00 outside Trust Bar, Eenhana Town, it is alleged that the victim, 25 years old Namibian male, was shot with a pistol, through the back left shoulder and the bullet exited at the left front chest (near the left nipple), by the suspect, 46 years old Namibian male. It is alleged that the suspect was quarreling with another person when he drew his pistol and discharged it and one bullet struck the victim who was sitting outside the bar with his cousin and friends. The victim was taken by his cousin and friends to Eenhana District State hospital where he received medical treatment and transferred to Onandjokwe Hospital in serious but stable condition. The police investigation continues.
Rehoboth-Suicide. On Friday 18.02.2022 between 22h30 and 23h00 at Erf 32, Block H, Rehoboth, it is alleged that the body of the deceased, Hilton Afrikaner, 26 years old Namibian male was discovered by his neighbor hanging with a belt from a tree. The motive is unknown and his next of kin was informed. The police investigation continues.
Leonardville-Stock theft on 18/02/2022 at 18:00 at Farm Terranova Leonardville, it is alleged that the suspect cut the complainants’ farm fence to gain entrance and removed 41 sheep, load it on a Vehicle, and drove. The 40 sheep to the value of N$82 000.00 was recovered at farm Hector but no arrest was made and the Police investigation continues.
Ongwediva-Attempted Murder. On 18.02.2022, at 23h00 at Ongwediva New reception, it is alleged that the 25 years old Namibian female victim, was attacked by a group of boys after she allegedly went to ask for her charge from the bar lady. It is alleged that one suspect stabbed him with a knife in the head and back left shoulder. No arrest was made yet and the victim is admitted to Oshakati state hospital but in stable condition. The police investigation continues.
Ondangwa-Culpable Homicide. On 18. 02. 2022 at 20:47, at Okankete village on the B1 road Ondangwa/Oshikango, it is alleged that the driver of a Toyota Hilux Bakkie, silver in color bumped the deceased victim, Karel Brakias, 40 years old Namibian Male, who was then a pedestrian and died on the spot. His next of kin were informed and the body was transported to the Oshakati police mortuary. The police investigation continues.
Omuthiya-Murder. On Friday 18 February 2022 at about 00h30 at Edhepa cuca shop Okalonga village, Onanke area, it is alleged that the deceased, 40 years old, Angolan male national, died after he was stabbed with a knife by the arrested 29 years old Namibian male suspect. It is further alleged that the suspect approached the victim and other patrons who were in a conversation and he claimed that they are making noise and he, the suspect started to hit them with a knife on their heads. It is alleged that the deceased told the suspect that what he was doing was not right and then an argument erupted between the suspect and victim whereby the suspect started to chase after the victim, and in the process, the victim fell down. The suspect then stabbed the deceased with a knife in the left eye as well as in the heart and he died on the spot. The deceased was a cattle herder and the Police investigation continues.
Tsumeb-Culpable homicide. On Friday 18/02/2022 at about 23h45 +-20 from Tsumeb to Tsintsabis, it is alleged that the deceased driver, Erasmus Kasokonya Masake, 36 years old Namibian male, died on the spot after he lost control over a White Toyota Quantum, he was driving, in a curve. It is alleged that the vehicle went off the road, hit a bridge and it overturned and killed him instantly. Two passengers were injured seriously with head and chest injuries and they were transported to Tsumeb State hospital and further transferred to Oshakati State hospital for further medical treatment. The body of the deceased was transported to Tsumeb State hospital mortuary for postmortem. His next of kin has been informed and the Police investigation continues.
Okahandja-Attempted Murder. On Saturday 19/02/2022 at 12:10 at First National Bank ATM behind Pick and Pay Okahandja, it is alleged that the 27 years old Namibian male victim, was hit by a bullet after a warning shot was fired and hit him on his left leg. It is alleged that the suspect who is a security employee of Southern Cross Security Services and his colleagues were offloading money that was intended for the ATM Machine, and allegedly a verbal confrontation erupted between the passengers of the parked vehicle in front of the ATM whereby the suspect requested the vehicle to be removed. The police investigation continues.
Windhoek-Possession of Cannabis and Mandrax tablets. On Saturday 19 February 2022 at around 14 h00 at Windhoek-Rehoboth Road Traffic Check Point, it is alleged that during a Police Search, the 27 years old Namibian male suspect was arrested after he was searched and found in possession of 79 Grams of Cannabis, 05 full mandrax tablets to the value of N$ 4550.00 and he is expected to appear before the court on Monday 21 February 2022. The police investigation continues.
Oshakati-Inquest. On Saturday 19 February 2022 around 16h59 at Erf 402 Oshakati west. It is alleged that the deceased, Daniel Daniel, 25 years old Namibian Male hanged himself with an electric cable in his bedroom. The deceased lifeless body was discovered by his housemate. His next of kin were informed and the Police investigation continues.
Oshakati-Inquest. On Saturday 19 February 2022at about 16h00 in the house of Lebeus Katengele at Ohadiwa village, it is alleged that the deceased, Katengele Fikameni Natangwe, 20 years old Namibian male, hanged himself with a white electric cable around his neck in his sleeping room. No suicide note was left behind and his next of kin was informed and the Police investigation continues.
Otjomuise-Dealing in Cannabis. On Friday 18 February 2022 at around 19h22 PM at Black Rock Street, Rocky Crest, it is alleged that during a Police Search, four suspects, ranging between the ages of 25, 29, and 35 all Namibian male, were arrested after they were searched and found in possession of 8425 Grams of Cannabis to the value of N$ 421 250-00. They are expected to appear in court on Monday 21 February 2022 and the Police investigation continues.
Ncaute (1) Culpable homicide (2) Recklessly and or negligence driving, Contravention of sec.80 (1) r/w 1, 86, 89 and 106 of Road Traffic and Transportation Act, Act 22/1999. On Saturday 19 February 2022 at about +-14h13 on the Rundu/Mururani main road at or near Masivi village, Kavango West region. It is alleged that a driver of a silver Toyota Wish station wagon with a number who was driving from Rundu & upon reaching Masivi village, bumped the deceased

Tsandi-1.Murder and 2. Concealment of birth. On Saturday 19 February 2022 at about 13:00 at Omaumba village, Tsandi Constituency, it is alleged that the arrested suspect, 22 years old Namibian female, gave birth to a baby girl, dumped it in the mud and the baby died. The body has been transported to the Okahao Police mortuary for post mortem to be conducted.

Ongenga-Inquest. On Sunday, 19 February 2022, it is alleged that the deceased, Maulisu Martin, 54 years old Namibian male, drowned in a water pond at his home village his next of kin is informed and the Police investigation continues.
Ongwediva-Housebreaking of residential premises. On Friday 18/02/2022 between 07H00 and 17H00, at Erf 3735, Helao Nafidi Street, Ongwediva, it is alleged that the complainant and his housemates left the house around 07h00 whereby he went to school while others went to work. It is further alleged that when he returned back he found the main door broken and realized that the house was broken into and he observed all the three-bedroom doors open and things were scattered all over and when he checked in every room he notice that most of the items are missing/stolen. It is alleged that the suspect used an unknown object to break the doors and gain entry into the house and steal and the suspects managed to get away with items to a total value:* N$50595.00, no arrests and recoveries were made. Wanaheda-Murder. On Saturday 19 February 2022 at about 22h30 in Omuvapu Street Okahandja Park, it is alleged that the deceased, 28 years old, Teofilus Alweendo, a Namibian male, died after he was allegedly stabbed with an okapi knife and the deceased had an open wound on the left side of the neck and one wound at the back of his head. His next of kin were informed and the 22 years old Namibian male suspect was arrested the Police investigation continues.
Okatope-Inquest. On 19/02/2022 at around 14h30 at Onambahu village Onyaanya area, it is alleged that the deceased, lmene Johannes Ndatitangi, a 06 years old Namibian male minor, drowned in a water pan, he was swimming with other three boys. His next of kin are informed and the Police investigation continues.
Katima Mulilo-Murder. On Sunday the 20th February 2022 at around +- 06H00 in New Cowboy Compound, Zambezi region, it is alleged that the deceased, 21 years old, Makata Deon Kwamana, a Namibian male, died on the scene after he was hit with an iron bar all over his body, allegedly by two suspects, between the ages of 24 and 27, and no arrests were made since they fled from the scene. The police investigation continues.
Outjo-Murder. On Saturday 19.02.2022 at around 04h 30 at Erf no B16/0013 Kap en bow location Outjo, it is alleged that the deceased, Petrus Komonjila David, died after he was shot during an attempt to be re-arrested, since his escape from Outjo Police holding cells on 24 December 2021 and was also a wanted person on a Stock theft case. The next of kin were informed and the Police investigation continues.
Bethanie-Reckless and or negligent driving. On Sunday 20/02/2022 at about 08:30 on the B4 tarred road +-2 kilometers to Goageb from the direction of Keetmanshoop, it is alleged that driver of a white in color, Volkswagen. The driver sustained serious injuries and he was transported from the scene by Bethanie health center ambulance to Keetmanshoop state hospital for medical treatment and Police investigation continues.
Karasburg-Drink & Driving and Reckless and/ or negligent driving. On Saturday 19/02/2022 between 21:30- 22:00 on B3 at the turnoff at U-save Shoprite, it is alleged that the 33 years old driver of a white 1400 Nissan, without headlamps bumped into the back of a trailer of a Volvo truck, while it was in turning right and no injuries were sustained. It is alleged that both drivers were tested for alcohol and the driver of the Nissan tested positive with a limit and he was arrested. The police investigation continues.
