Windhoek, 25 July, – The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Trade launched its Annual Statistical Report for 2021 at the ministry’s offices in Windhoek on Monday.
The report which was launched by tourism minister Pohamba Shifeta provides statistical insights on the international inbound tourists in Namibia categorized by their nationalities, ages, the purpose of visit, and mode of travel.
The report details the number of tourists that Namibia received during the year, stating that Germany and South Africa were the highest contributors. The report says there was an increase of 270,644 foreign arrivals last year compared to 192,026 in 2020 and the sector is on the path to recovery.
