Standard Bank pioneering banking for students

WINDHOEK, Jan. 22 – While parents are urged to teach their children about money and how to manage it, financial responsibility becomes increasingly important when they are transitioning from high school to college/university.

It also offers free POS purchases (both local and international), free Debit card purchases, free Inter-account transfers (Internet Banking, Cellphone Banking, ATM, SBN App) and N$50.00 worth of airtime, or electricity with their first deposit into the account.

The Pioneer account has been designed to give students more time for studying and less time for day-to-day banking

To qualify for this account, you need to be a registered student at a recognised tertiary institution and should be between the ages of 18 to 30 years old.
