JOHANNESBURG, AUG. 21 – 16 Comedians, 8 epic battles, and in the end, only one will be the victor of Roast Battle Season 2 finale on Comedy Central (DStv 122) on Monday, 27 August, at 21:30.
In the extended final episode, nothing is off limits as it has been this entire season, but the Roasters will have to take things to a new brutally funny level that only one will emerge from victorious, while the others will have to figure out how to get rid of the shame of losing.
Acting as referee, not even Loyiso Madinga is safe from Roast Master John Vlismas, so it’s a good thing he can always return to his gig on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. First up, it’s the boy-next-door with a mouth that can make a sailor blush, Mojak Lehoko, who goes up against, Lazola Gola, described by Mojak as a guy whose career success is based on his surname.
The second battle of the night is between Cape Town’s very own Bloemfontein-import Carl Weber vs. Durban’s version of ‘Lurch’ from The Addams Family, Robby Collins, according to Carl.
The epic finale battle that will determine the winner, who according to John Vlismas, will win a prize so big, they’ll be able to splurge on an uber black to get home….with the bragging rights of being the Comedy Central Roast Battle Season 2 Champion! – firstname.lastname@example.org
