RA reappoints Lutombi as CEO

WINDHOEK, 05 SEP – Conrad Lutombi has been reappointed as chief executive officer of the Roads Authority (RA).
RA Board of Directors Chairperson Brian Katjaerua in a media statement on Wednesday said Lutombi’s second five-year tenure will be effective from 01 October 2018.
“Lutombi symbolises what it means to be a modern business leader and strives to achieve greater things at all times and under his stewardship, RA achieved and by far exceeded the organisational targets and objectives as set out in the strategic scorecard,” he said.
He said the board is confident that Lutombi will continue to carry the RA brand with great responsibility and shrewd leadership and steer the organisation towards realising its mandate, which is to manage Namibia’s national road network with a view to achieve a safe and efficient road sector.
Lutombi was first appointed as the authority’s CEO in 2013 after he had been acting in the same position since 2010.
He obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Steinbeis University, Germany and a Master of Science Degree in Leadership and Change Management from Leeds University, United Kingdom.
Lutombi, amongst other qualifications, also graduated from the High Performance Leadership Programme of the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. – NAMPA
