WINDHOEK, OCT 25 – Namibia Dairies (ND) – a subsidiary of Ohlthaver & List (0&L) Group – was awarded the first accredited Certificate of Conformity to ISO 9001:2015 by the Namibia Standards Institution (NSI) on Friday, 19 October, at a special gala event.
“We are excited to earn certification to ISO 9001:2015 and believe it provides additional assurance to our customers that we are focused on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Namibia Dairies previously earned certification under ISO 9001:2008 in 2006 and has been audited and registered annually by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS). Our move from ISO 9001:2008 to the updated standard demonstrates our desire to always perform at the highest levels of quality and efficiency,” said Heinrich Lesch, ND Manager: Quality Assurance.
The certification to Namibia Dairies is, according to the Namibian Standards Council chairperson, Martha Kandawa-Schulz issued in recognition of the company’s commitment to have its Quality Management System (QMS) certified, which was audited by the NSI, and found to be in conformance with the requirements of the of the ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management Systems requirement standard. Kandawa-Schulz: “This certification of Namibia Dairies is a confirmation of their ability to demonstrate conformity to quality management system requirements, consistently provide products and services of a high quality and consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements.”
The NSI Certification Body also received its Accreditation Certificate to ISO/IEC 17021 for Certification of ISO 9001:2015 QMS from the Southern African Development Community Accreditation Services (SADCAS). ND Managing Director, Gunther Ling: “Namibia Dairies partnered with the NSI during their transition period and are equally proud of their achievement and this breakthrough for our country. This truly lives the O&L purpose of ‘Creating a future, enhancing life’.” – NDN Staffer
