WINDHOEK, Aug. 31 – Mobile Telecommunications Limited, MTC have come to the aid of Outjo, Okakarara, Okondjatu, Zambezi, Rundu, Keetmanshop, Rehoboth Trade Expos and Crayfish festival with a combined sponsorship of N$ 310 000.
MTC’s Manager of Sponsorship and Promotions Joseph Mundjindi stated that “MTC is a corporate citizen that believes in the principal of continuously investing back in communities it operates.”
This year MTC will support the Outjo Expo to the tune of N$ 15 000, Okakarara N$ 90 000, Okondjatu N$ 15 000, Zambezi N$ 25 000, Rundu N$45 000, Keetmanshop N$ 25 000, Rehoboth N$ 20 000 and Crayfish Festival N$ 75 000 as part of the MTC’s contribution towards entrepreneurship upliftment. Annually, MTC has allocated over N2.7 million on supporting Trade Affairs alone.
Speaking at the Okakarara Trade Fair gala dinner, Mundjindi said that “reaching out is second nature to MTC as we derive outmost pleasure from supporting local communities and it thus became a social imperative to re-emphasise and display our un-parallel passion to support our customers through EXPO’s and Trade Fairs as these are some of the good platforms for entrepreneurs to excel as well as support for local businesses.”
According to MTC, the latter Expos is just but a few of the many exhibition shows on the list that MTC planned to sponsor. MTC is also the main sponsor of famous Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair which is currently on-going.
MTC Chief Human Capital and Corporate Affairs, Tim Ekandjo said that “Trade Fairs/Expos offer a conducive and enabling opportunity to both macro and micro business people to test the market, promote and sell their products and services.
