REHOBOTH, 15 APR – The Khomas Second Division Football League concluded its first leg on Sunday, with Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) Football Club (FC) ending top of the log with 28 points.
A total of 52 goals were scored during Round 12 and 13 played in Windhoek, with NUST scoring 13 goals.
On Saturday, NUST routed Namib Eagles 11-0, and on Sunday played to a 2-all draw with Young Ones.
Chairperson of Khomas Second Division, Dawid Morgan on Sunday said they will commence with the second leg during the first weekend of May.
“We will give the teams one weekend off to finish some administrative issues and will start with the second leg during the weekend of 5-6 May,” Morgan said.
Sunday also saw City Boys losing 1-2 against Afrika Rassap, also known as the German Boys, while Swallows and Eleven Champions played 1-all.
Namib Eagles inflicted a second defeat on Kingston United by winning 1-0, and Golden River beat Java Java 5-1 while Namib Colts beat Falcon 1-0.
In the final game of the day, Rock Stones defeated Impala Chiefs 1-0.
