Haihambo appointed acting RTC CEO

RUNDU, 03 SEP  – The Rundu Town Council (RTC) has appointed Sikongo Haihambo as its Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective 01 September 2018 until 28 February 2019.
Confirming the appointment in an interview with Nampa on Monday was the Deputy Mayor of the Rundu Town Council, Ralph Ihemba, who said that it comes after consultations with and the go ahead from the Minister of Urban and Rural Development.
He said his temporary appointment does not mean that the recruitment process of the council’s top management post had been completed, saying that a suitable candidate will be appointed to lead the council.
Haihambo was a former Acting Statistician General (SG) of the Namibia Statistics Agency, a role he held for six month and was also a former Deputy CEO: Operations of the Millennium Challenge Account Namibia.
Haihambo also served as a director on boards of various public and private institutions and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
