OSHAKATI, 28 JUL – The former principal of Ehangano Primary School in the Oshana Region, Haulofu Aron Hafeni, allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in the head on Thursday.
Warrant Officer Kaume Iitumba of the Namibian Police Force’s Public Relations Unit in the Ohangwena Region confirmed the incident to Nampa on Friday.
Iitumba identified the deceased as the 52-year-old Hafeni, who is from Ongobeyaola village in Ohangwena.
“He shot himself with a shotgun in his sleeping room around 09h00,” the police officer said.
Hafeni’s next of kin have been informed of his death.
