Climate change, clean energy some key areas of Namibia-USA cooperation.
Windhoek,April 22–President Dr Hage G. Geingob yesterday received a courtesy visit from the USA Ambassador to Namibia, Her Excellency Lisa Johnson, at State House.
Amb. Johnson briefed President Geingob on priority areas of the Biden Administration.
This includes global cooperation and multilaterism, and a renewed focus on universal issues including human rights, climate change, clean energy, global health and the Covid-19 pandemic.
President Geingob stated that he looks forward to working with President Biden’s administration.
Later this week, Namibia will ship its first batch of charcoal to the US, joining its beef and beer on American shelf space.
