LONDON, May 3 — A man was in critical condition after four people were injured in a shooting in south London on Saturday, Sky News reported Sunday.
The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday on Coldharbour Lane in Brixton, where shots were reportedly fired from a vehicle. The four victims, aged 25, 21, 47 and 70, were taken to hospital, according to the report.
A 25-year-old man remained in a life-threatening condition, while the other three suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, the report said.
Police said they were investigating whether a stabbing nearby about an hour later was linked to the shooting.
No arrests had been made, and officers were working to identify those responsible.
London’s Metropolitan Police said there would be an increased police presence in the area in the coming days and appealed for witnesses or anyone with footage to come forward. (Namibia Daily News/Xinhua)
