WINDHOEK, Feb. 1 – This is the spirit with which employees of Standard Bank’s central region branches collectively raised and donated a total of over N$40 000 towards the bank’s flagship Buy-a-Brick fundraising community initiative. The amount was recently handed over to the Bank’s Chief Executive Vetumbuavi Mungunda (standing second from the right) as accompanied by branch managers of the central branches. Standard Bank’s annual Buy-a-Brick initiative is geared towards community upliftment aimed at addressing the unavailability of housing for low or no income communities in the country. The project is for the benefit of the Shack Dwellers Federation of Namibia and its members, in assisting them to move people out of shacks and into decent brick houses. – NDN Staffer
